Educational Software and the Money Dilemma: Part 1

You have invested your money in a computer or ipad and now want to get the most use out of it as possible. In today’s economy money is one thing most of us wish we had more of. Educational software can be expensive and probably isn’t in your monthly budget. No problem! There are a vast number of FREE (yes, I said free) software programs available on the Internet. The problem is how to distinguish between the good and the not so good. As an educator, I have spent hours exploring free software to use in my classroom as I train future educators on new advances in technology. Now I want to share some of my great finds with you!

Classtools.net: Create free educational games, quizzes, activities, and diagrams in a snap. The games can then be hosted on your own blog, website, or Internet. No signup, no passwords, no charge!   http://classtools.net/

For the ipad or iphone: Flashcardlet
This is a free, easy-to-use studying application with material for any class or standardized test. You can also create and share your own. It is the best way to study on any iOS device.   http://quizlet.com/mobile/

Give one or both of them a try and share your pros and cons of each with us here!
